Murals and painting large scale art on structures is John’s specialty. John excels at painting large scale murals, this is his passion. He did his first “Mural” when he was about 5, he painted the words “Shed” on all four exterior walls of his Father’s newly built outbuilding. His Father was less than pleased, however it was a precursor of things to come.

Offer He Couldn’t Refuse
John was selling decals at a local Hunting/ Fishing store in Plant City, FL. The owner’s name was Harold Mobley. Harold asked “Hey John will you paint a whitetail deer on the outside of my building?” John didn’t know what to say, he hadn’t ever tried painting. Sure he had plenty of time drawing and making decals, but never painting. Painting on the side of a building in the middle of town where everyone could see any mistakes he made didn’t make John feel any better either. Harold proposed “John just paint it for me, give me a price, and if I like it… I’ll pay you to do that one and another one right after it.” Then Harold followed up with “If I don’t like it, I’ll pay you anyway.” Well with that kind of an offer how could he go wrong. The man was willing to pay him for succeeding or failing. John took his offer and started the first mural. To his amazement it only took about half the time he estimated. When John finished he stood back in disbelief as to how natural he felt painting that first Mural.
